Cristina joined WAGES in late 2008 as our Co-op Network Manager. Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Cristina has resided in the Bay Area since 1998. While obtaining her B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Católica de Quito, Cristina helped design and implement an Environmental Economics program - the first of its kind in Ecuador. Since arriving in the U.S., she has worked to serve under-privileged communities, most recently as a community organizer with Latino and African American populations. At WAGES, Cristina is combining her community building and strategic planning skills with her business and environmental background to help co-create a vibrant and successful cooperative network that will provide new opportunities for the most vulnerable and help them transform their communities.
