"Thanks to the co-op, I was able to buy a car and a house! Most important, I’m part of a business that protects the environment and is recognized in the community. We share a community with our clients, and they look at us with respect."

WAGES serves hundreds of women each year through co-op member trainings, peer leadership programs, and community workshops. Women who complete WAGES’ 100+ hour Co-op Founder Training or 50+ hour New Member Training programs become worker-owners in successful cooperative businesses. And the impact is powerful!
Our 95 + co-op members:
Each woman who empowers herself shares the benefits with her family and her community, creating a ripple effect locally and beyond.
Through community workshops, WAGES’ trainers and co-op members educate other Latinas about environmental issues and how to avoid toxic chemicals. WAGES also provides advice and information to dozens of organizations every year. We consult with an ever growing list of community partners that are developing green cleaning cooperatives inspired by our model. In the Bay Area, North Carolina and New York and beyond, a growing community of women are using WAGES’ model to increase their economic security and well-being.
Read Stories of Hope from the co-op members themselves and learn what economic empowerment means for these women and their families.
Explore the WAGES Logic Model and see how our impact is created from the very first steps of co-op business plan development.
